However, MBS signals may not provide sufficient coverage for MUs situated beyond the MBS. Several studies recommend implementing femto base station (FBS) to solve this problem [14, 15, 16, 17, 18].
From the figure, it can be observed that both (P_m^*) and (P_f^*) exhibit a decreasing trend with the increase in the total resource availability of MBS. In case of limited resource, the allocated resource to MUs and FBS will also be reduced, resulting in higher price for both MBS and FBS.
Several studies recommend implementing femto base station (FBS) to solve this problem [14, 15, 16, 17, 18]. FBS is a smaller base station with shorter transmission distance and lower operating cost compared to MBS.
