At an ambient temperature of 25 °C, as the discharge rate increases from 1C to 60C, the discharge capacity decreases from the rated capacity to 93.5 %.
The results showed that when high-rate discharge occurs, the upper part of the battery is the high-temperature zone from the beginning of discharge. With the increase of discharge rate and depth, the temperature distribution shows an increasingly uneven trend, especially in the early and late stages of high-rate discharge.
At the same time, this research serves as a reference for the design of cold-start and heating systems for lithium-ion batteries. The battery discharge process in cold environments acts as a self-heating mechanism, resulting in temperature distribution phenomena.
